Absences:
"Regular and punctual attendance has a marked influence
upon scholastic achievement. Therefore, it is important that students be at
school and ready to go to their respective classrooms every day when the
first morning bell rings (at 8:00 a.m.). All absences and tardiness become
part of a student's permanent record. In order for a student to be marked
present for a full day of school, the student must be in school and in class
for a minimum of 4 1/2 hours.
Every effort must be made to get your child to school on time. Excessive
tardiness ( more than 5 times in a trimester) may result in your child not
receiving an invitation to re-register. A note from
parent/guardian is necessary when your child is tardy for school."
Dress Code:
" Students must wear the complete
uniform each day. All shirts must be worn (tucked in) inside pants, shorts,
and skirts. All uniforms should be clean and in good repair. Students should
look neat and uniforms should be worn with pride.
Summer uniforms may be worn from the opening day of school through the third
week of October and during the months of May and June."

Homework Policy:
" The amount of homework varies
according to the age of the child, the material being taught, and the
objectives of the teacher. Students must take the personal responsibility of
recording the work to be done in a homework planner provided by the school.
Homework must be completed by the due date.
Homework reinforces skills presented in class, and it must be done carefully
and thoroughly. Parents are urged to supervise students, and to assist them
in developing independent study skills. Suggested time allotments for
homework per day ranges from 30 minutes at the Primary level to 2 hours in
the Middle School. This allotment includes time for written work, study,
review work and long-range project or papers. Parents should provide
suitable conditions for home study. Sufficient time is provided for students
to copy their assignments and pack their bookbags. Re-admittance into the
school or classroom after the school day is over is discouraged.
At all grade levels, homework may be included in determining the subject
area grade on the report card. When a teacher notices that a student is
consistently missing assignments, he/she will notify the parents and offer
appropriate suggestions to remedy the situation."
Tag Days or Out of Uniform Days:
"Occasionally we will have tag days or
out of uniform days. Each day will have a theme and we ask that students
dress according to that theme. Guidelines for each day will be printed in
the newsletter prior to that tag day."

Health Services:
" There is a registered nurse on duty
in the Health Room every day during school hours. Parents of children with
epilepsy, or other health problems should contact the principal and the
nurse to explain the extent of the child's problem. A note from the child's
doctor verifying the condition is necessary. Children who need immediate
first aid will be cared for in the Health Room. UP TO DATE telephone numbers
and emergency numbers are essential since some cases require attention from
home."
