Finance Council

The Finance Council is an advisory body whose primary purpose is the development and monitoring of all parish budgets as well as the allocation of parish investments. The Finance Council meets at least quarterly to review income and expenses. Members are appointed directly by the pastor and are professionals in the finance, accounting, budgeting, and related fields.

Chair: Joseph Bourne

School Board

The School Board is a consultative and collaborative body whose focus is to support and participate in forming the vision for St. Michael the Archangel School. The Board oversees the development and presentation of the annual school budget, participates in short- and long-term planning, and acts as ambassadors of the school community. Membership is composed of parishioners, community leaders, and members of the school community. Through a nomination process, members are appointed by the pastor with the consensus of the principal and School Board.

Every parish, for legal purposes, forms a corporation. The legal title for our parish is St. Michael the Archangel, Overlea, Roman Catholic Congregation, Inc. The corporators meet at least annually to review the status of the parish in all areas and serve as another means of consultation and collaboration. Lay members are nominated by the pastor and appointed by the Archbishop of Baltimore.
